Information for Students

You have the power to get an A in this class if you choose.

All students are provided with:

4 reasons students do not get an A in this class:

  • Calendar of tasks to keep you on schedule
  • Ability to research your midterm well in advance, then use notes
  • Assignments already posted on-line (no surprises!)
  • Upcoming deadlines posted in classroom and online
  • Not taking notes during class
  • Not completing the homework (or plagiarizing)
  • Not completing the classwork / video project as assigned
  • Using mp3 player or cell phone during class
   

Answers to FAQ's (frequently asked questions)

  • Yes, you can take home projects on DVD at the end of the semester
  • No, you cannot choose your video groups until the final project
  • No, you cannot eat in class (and candy counts as food)
  • No, you cannot make videos about drugs, gangs, or terrorism
  • Yes, you can make a request to not be in a group with your enemy if they happen to be in the class
  • Yes, this is a "real" class (as in, there are assignments and homework)

Students are expected to familiarize themselves with the rules, as posted in the class handbook. Copies of this handbook may be founder under "syllabus" on the class page. No cell phones or mp3 players without express permission to use as a prop in a video.
